Parenting Workshop: Sexual Health & Wellness

In this 2 hour workshop, Sex Educators Rae Szereszewski & Marisa Swinton dive into talking about sexual health as caregivers from infancy to adulthood. They explore Canadian standards for sexual health curriculum in schools and how you can bring those conversations into your home.

WHO CAN/SHOULD ATTEND

  • Parents and caregivers who want to get a better understanding of comprehensive sex education, and how to provide that at home

  • All genders, ethnicities, religions, sexualities, and lifestyles

  • Anyone currently looking to understand best practices around communicating around sexual health

STUDENTS WILL...

  • Review the Canadian Federal Curriculum and best practices of comprehensive Sex Ed (SIECCAN)

  • Review practical tips for being sex positive as caregivers from infancy to adulthood

  • Reflect on their own experiences with Sex Ed and determine where they may want to continue their education as caregivers

  • Be connected to a variety of age appropriate resources to facilitate conversations around sex, sexuality, gender, and consent
