We don’t know when you started reading fanfiction, but when we were young, they NEVER mentioned consent, the graphic parts were unrealistic, and queerness was for the heterosexual gaze. Basically, it was pornhub.

As consent culture has improved, so has the quality of fanfiction. Join us (Sex Educator Rae and Data Scientist Makenzie) as we fangirl hard in an academic way about the virtues of modern dirty fanfiction as an educational media. Themes explored will include consent, kink, and queerness. Side quests will include a crash course in current consent language and data science. All participants must be of legal wizarding age to attend.
