Brief presentation on latex fetishism throughout history: a look at archival videos, writings, and images
The basics of latex crafting: what you need to know to repair your own latex, with tips and tricks for success. This section will be divided into a few parts:
A demo on cutting and gluing, and how to repair holes, rips, and separated seams
Learn along: step by step together where we put "latex bandaids" on rips - the hardest repairs to do.
Practice time: this is where each person can spend time practicing, or if they have a piece they want to repair, can start to work on it. Rae will be walking around to answer questions, or help with tricky repairs people want support with
No membership is required. There are two ticket options available: Attendance Only and Attendance + Starter Kit.
Choose Attendance Only if you plan to observe or already have your own equipment and tools (bring them along for the practical portion).
Choose Attendance + Starter Kit if you’d like to participate and need the essential equipment to get started. Monday February 3rd will be the cut off date for start kit sales to allow enough time to purchase the requisite number of kits.
