STI Pride

  • Birdhaus 1233R Queen Street West Toronto, ON, M6K 1L5 Canada (map)

Welcome to STI Pride!  Register here.

As much as we love sex, an open, inclusive, and de-stigmatized approach to sexuality involves an awareness of STIs. They’re common, they’re normal, but we still don’t know how to talk about them.

This panel discussion, led by Rae Szereszewski and Amanda VanDenBrock, will address a range of topics regarding STIs in sex positive communities, including:

• what constitutes an STBBI anyways?

 • understanding STI transmission factors

 • the language of STI stigma

 • how cultural messaging influences internalized STI stigma

 • strategies for disclosing STI status

This will be an open and interactive discussion where everyone will have the opportunity to discuss their own thoughts and experiences in a shame-free and inclusive environment.

Bring your curiosity. Bring your questions. And leave your shame at the door!

Doors open at 6:30PM with the panel discussion from 7:00 to 8:15PM. Stick around for drinks and conversation with your fellow community members afterwards.
